5.4 Alumni Enganement

5.4.1 

          The institute has a registered Alumni Association. Its registration number is F-175108 (Sangli). The year 2016 marked the period of standardization in terms of its registration as association named as SBGI Alumni Association (SBGIAA). This body is constituted with the purpose of strengthening the alma mater and the alumni. In line with organization’s goals, Vision and Mission, the members strive to strengthen their bond with SBGI through their valuable contributions. The first alumni meet with a large participation was held in the institute in December, 24, 2016. From 2016, every year a alumni meet of respective passed out batch is being celebrated in the last week of December. 

SBGI Alumni Association (SBGIAA) has been created to provide a platform for its alumni base of 1200+ and to connect, engage and benefit the SBGI alumni, students and staff. It provides core programs such as reunions, get-togethers, alumni directory, career support services, continued learning opportunities, suggestions in students curriculum development, Placement, administration of benefits and other fundamental services to Alumni.

Contributions of SBGIAA:

• Alumni support the students academically and professionally in many ways.
• Also help in Internships and Project works, Placement etc.
• Curriculum development by Deliver Lectures to the students in their areas of expertise.

• Sharing their industrial expertise and technology updates through guest lectures to provide job ready skills to the students.
• Providing references for student placements.
• Endorsing the institute and recommending it to their relatives and friends.
• Suggestions to improve the effectiveness of the curriculum.
• Improving institute industry interaction by bringing industrial experts to interact with our students.
