About the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (E&TC)
The Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (E&TC) at Sanjay Bhokare Group of Institutes, Miraj, was established in 2009 with the objective of providing quality technical education and developing skilled, knowledgeable, and industry-ready engineers. The department focuses on building a strong foundation in electronics, communication systems, embedded systems, signal processing, and emerging technologies.
The department is equipped with sophisticated laboratories, modern equipment, and essential technical resources to support practical learning, innovation, research, and project development. It has eight dedicated laboratories that provide students with hands-on experience in various areas, including Embedded System Design, VLSI, Digital Image Processing, and Wireless Communication Systems. The department also provides research facilities supported by high-end equipment from Agilent Technologies.
The department is committed to enhancing students' technical knowledge, professional skills, problem-solving abilities, and ethical values. It encourages students to participate in technical activities, research projects, innovation initiatives, entrepreneurship, and industry-oriented learning to prepare them for the challenges of the rapidly evolving engineering sector.
In addition to the Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering programme, a new programme, Electronics and Computer Science (Course Code: 664490010), was introduced from the academic year 2023–24, providing students with opportunities to explore the integration of electronics and computer science.
