Mechanical Engineering

Sanjay Bhokare Group of Institutes added the Mechanical Engineering course in the year 2009. It is a 4-years (8 semesters) full time program duly approved by the AICTE Govt. of India and affilliated to Shivaji University, Kolhapur. The guidance to the students is provided by well experienced and committed faculty members. Department of Mechanical Engineering highlights on enrichment of future talent pool in the form of students admitted for Mechanical Engineering course.

Since 2017 Mechanical Engineering Department is affiliating to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Lonere (DBATU).

To Prepare students for successful careers in industry that meet the needs of Indian and multinational companies.           


 To provide opportunity for students to work as part of teams multi-disciplinary projects.


To provide students with a sound foundation in the mathematical, scientific and engineering fundamentals necessary to   formulate, solve and analyze engineering problems and to prepare them for post graduate studies.           


To introduce the students to professional ethics and codes of professional practice and to create awareness of the lifelong learning.


To involve the students in collaborative interactions with the industries and research organizations.


To improve employability of students by imparting soft skills and requisite training.

Mechanical Engineering graduates will be able to:

Ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science and mechanical engineering fundamentals for solving problems.                             


Ability to Identify, formulate and analyze mechanical engineering problems arriving at meaningful conclusions involving mathematical inferences.


Ability to design and develop mechanical components and processes to meet desired needs considering public health, safety, cultural, social, and environmental aspects.


Ability to understand and investigate complex mechanical engineering problems experimentally.


Ability to apply modern engineering tools, techniques and resources to solve complex mechanical engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
